Three routes
Which route fits, we clarify in conversation.
01
BBI continues your brokerage business
You run an estate agency, or a brokerage business alongside your management firm? BBI can continue it. Which mandates move across is up to your clients: we approach them together with you and ask for their consent.
02
A successor from the network
For your property management firm or estate agency we look for a successor in the NAI apollo network and among our partners. We first present your business without naming it; names and figures follow only after a confidentiality agreement.
03
Mandates from the portfolio
The management passes to a successor, but sales or lettings are coming up in your portfolio? BBI takes over these mandates, with the owners' consent. Your business shares in the completed deals, set down in a cooperation agreement.
In the initial meeting we decide whether BBI continues the business itself or looks for a successor for you. It is never both at once, so that it is clear whose side we are on.
How it works
From the first question to the handover in four steps.
01
Send enquiry
A few clicks at the top of this page: type of business, plans, timing and your contact details.
02
Initial meeting
Our management will get in touch within 24 hours on working days. We talk about your goals, your timetable and the right route. The meeting costs nothing.
03
Agree confidentiality
Before figures and documents are put on the table, we sign a confidentiality agreement. Potential successors sign as well before they learn your name.
04
Prepare the handover
We plan with you when and how to approach owners and clients. You settle the purchase agreement and tax matters with your notary, lawyer and tax adviser; we coordinate with them.
Clear ground rules
What we take on, and what we do not.
What BBI takes on
the confidential search for a successor, initially without your name,
continuing your brokerage business or individual sales and letting mandates,
preparing how you approach owners and clients,
coordination with your notary, lawyer and tax adviser.
What BBI does not take on
running residential or homeowners' association management itself; for management firms we look for a successor,
legal and tax advice or drafting purchase agreements,
a promise that management appointments or mandates pass across automatically.
BBI Immobilien is an estate agent licensed under § 34c GewO (German Trade Regulation Act) and a company of NAI apollo. A homeowners' association management only passes across by resolution of the owners' association, management and brokerage contracts only with the clients' consent. A successor needs their own licence under § 34c GewO. Client data only changes hands under the rules of the GDPR. A fee is only payable on success; who bears it and how much it is, we set down in writing beforehand.

Answers as of: 18 October 2026
How does succession with BBI work?
You send us a few details about your business via this page. Within 24 hours on working days, Maximilian Vigansky, Managing Director, will get in touch with you. In the initial meeting we clarify your goals and your timetable and decide which route fits. Only then do we turn to figures and documents.
Which routes are open to my business?
Three. First, BBI can continue your brokerage business. Second, we look for a successor for your property management firm or estate agency in the NAI apollo network and among our partners. Third, we take over the sales and letting mandates from your portfolio while the management passes to a successor. You decide which route it will be.
Does BBI also take over my property management firm?
No. BBI does not run any residential or homeowners' association management itself. For your management business we look for a successor. You can hand over the sales and lettings from your portfolio to us, with the owners' consent.
Do my management contracts and mandates pass to the successor?
Not automatically. A homeowners' association management only passes to a successor by resolution of the owners' association. Residential management contracts and brokerage agreements require the consent of your clients. We prepare with you how and when to approach your clients.
What happens to my clients' data?
Client data only changes hands under the rules of the GDPR. Before a deal is concluded we only discuss anonymised key figures. After that your clients are informed and can object; some data requires their consent. You agree the details with your lawyer or data protection officer.
How confidential is my enquiry?
Your enquiry is handled by BBI's management and stays in-house. We first present your business to potential successors without naming it. Names, figures and documents are only shared once a confidentiality agreement has been signed.
What does it cost me?
The initial meeting costs nothing and commits you to nothing. A fee is only payable on success. Who bears it and how much it is, we disclose and set down in writing before we act for you.
Does BBI also advise on tax and contracts?
No. BBI is an estate agent and does not provide legal or tax advice. You clarify the purchase agreement, tax questions and company law with your notary, lawyer and tax adviser. We are happy to coordinate with them.
